Cambodia ACTs was established in July 2001 in Khao Yai, Thailand when representatives from Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, Indonesia and the Philippines convened alongside Asia Against Child Trafficking and agreed to work together to fight the growing problem of child trafficking in Southeast Asia. Our organization was initially comprised of six NGO partners. Over the past decade, we’ve expanded into a network of 11 Cambodian NGOs working together to fight child trafficking in provinces and municipalities across the country.
Cambodia ACTs fights child trafficking and exploitation through community capacity building, education and awareness programs and legal services for victims, implemented countrywide and in local grassroots networks with our national NGO partners.
We believe that every child should have a life free from the dangers of trafficking and exploitation. We strive for this end by transforming children’s lives for the better, helping them understand how valuable they are as citizens in our society.
