History

In 1991, organizations in Kanto working on issues concerning migrants’ rights held “the Forum on Foreign Workers Issues in Kanto.” This forum is held annually. It successfully increased the number of organizations working on this issue. In 1996, they held the First National Form in Fukuoka. It was then decided to establish a nationwide networking organization that would cooperate on an ongoing basis. In 1997, “Solidarity Network with Migrants Japan” was launched.
