Opinion: No Person Deserves Enslavement

Stop Traffic is a student-led, anti-human trafficking organization at the University of Missouri. Stop Traffic was founded in 2006 by several Mizzou students who wanted to get involved in the fight against modern-day slavery. We are dedicated to education, outreach, and consciousness-raising on the University of Missouri campus and in the larger community.
There are no requirements for membership, other than an affiliation with the University. There are various leadership positions available on different levels — Exec Board member to project leader — and there is something for everything. Stop Traffic holds officer elections at the end of April.
Stop Traffic has strong partnerships with other organizations, including the Central Missouri Stop Human Trafficking Coalition and the Mustard Seed Fair Trade store, and hosts a biennial conference. We also host fundraisers, film screenings, fashion shows, and present to classes and other organizations. We are always looking for new and innovative ways to fundraise, educate, and raise awareness!
