The city of Tulsa is fairly close to the middle of the United States and because of this there are multiple cross-country freeways that go directly through the city. These freeways are an easy way for traffickers to transport victims and because of that human trafficking is widespread in Tulsa.
These facts are not going unnoticed, especially to the Tulsa Police Department. It has come to our knowledge that in the past few years the TPD has been very influential in breaking the chains of trafficking by prosecuting pimps and johns and trying to help their victims to the best of their abilities.
Over the past year there have been quite a few cases of sex trafficking that have taken place within our city limits. And even larger scale operations that have been taking place throughout Oklahoma. We’ve even seen and heard of cases happening right down our street. This is something that makes us incredibly sad, and gives us the desire to do everything that we can to continue to speak out for these women and girls that are being trafficked in our neighborhood. We have been able to join forces with local law enforcement agencies and we are working with them to break the chains of trafficking and to give the victims true love that come from Christ.
