End Slavery Now has previously told the story of Mohamed Diaby. This brave man fought a year-long legal battle to remain in his new home of Cincinnati, OH. While he won his battle against deportation back to Mauritania and modern day enslavement, others have not been so lucky.
Click the button above to read a blog post about Mohamed Diaby by Lynn Tramonte of the Ohio Immigrant Alliance. It also contains good background information about modern day enslavement and human trafficking in Mauritania. Consider following up by attending the "Community Conversation" about Mauritanian refugees in Ohio at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center at 10:30AM on May 11th.
