40.3 Million People Are Enslaved in the World Today

The International Labor Organization (ILO) and the Walk Free Foundation found that 40.3 million people worldwide are trapped in slavery today. The report is the first modern slavery estimate to be researched by two organizations in an attempt to release the most comprehensive and accurate modern day slavery estimates.
