Abolish Child Trafficking (ACT) Covenant House

History

Since 1972, Covenant House has been providing food, shelter, immediate crisis care and an array of other important services to homeless, runaway and trafficked youth between the ages of 18-21. Today there are 21 Covenant House locations in the U.S., Canada and Latin America. Together we serve more than 56,000 homeless young people each year.

We are proud to be the nation’s largest privately funded agency serving homeless, runaway and at-risk youth. Our doors are open 24 hours a day for youth in need.

Tragically, what we’ve learned by helping more than a million kids is that there is a direct correlation between being homeless and becoming a victim of trafficking. Why? Because it’s easier to take a kid from the streets because no one will even know she’s gone. But we are so much more than a homeless shelter…we are an important leader in the fight to end trafficking.
